A quick multiple-choice test was proposed to second-year mathematical engineering students at the beginning of each exercise session. These activities aimed to foster students&#8217; learning through the retrieval practice of topics covered in lectures. Students\u2019 answers in both years have been analysed to validate the item set and to evaluate the effectiveness of this didactic choice.
